The Sonar Shield LVS34 Cable Saver is designed to protect one of the most vulnerable parts of your Garmin LiveScope setup — the transducer cable. Constant movement, trailering, and deployment can put unnecessary strain on the cable, leading to wear, fatigue, or failure over time.
This simple but effective solution helps reduce stress at the connection point by managing cable movement and preventing sharp bends. Easy to install and built for real-world fishing conditions, the LVS34 Cable Saver adds an extra layer of protection without interfering with performance or setup.
Choosing the Correct Side (Read This First 👇)
We offer both Port and Starboard versions.
👉 Look at your transducer mount from the back of your boat:
- If your mount is on the LEFT (Port side) → you need the STARBOARD Cable Saver
- If your mount is on the RIGHT (Starboard side) → you need the PORT Cable Saver
✔ The Cable Saver always installs on the OPPOSITE side of your mount.
Proper Installation (Important)
The Cable Saver installs on the opposite side of your mount to properly support and protect the cable.
👉 The outside tab (where the bolt goes through) must be positioned:
- On the outside
- Sitting against the head of the bolt (knob)
- NEVER between the transducer and the pole
✔ If the tab is on the outside against the knob, you’ve got it right — and likely chose the correct side. If you’re unsure which version you need, email sales@thesonarshield.com
Bolt Compatibility
- ✅ Most mounts → work perfectly with your factory (OEM) screw
- ⚠️ Summit mounts (and similar setups) → may require a longer bolt
- 👍 We offer an extended bolt option in our shop
