The notice names ActiveTarget or ActiveTarget 2 currently running 26.2-72.1.36, updated through a Simrad NSX, NSS 4 or NSO 4 using NEON OS. Lowrance's target release is 26.2-72.1.37, dated July 8, 2026. This guide explains existing instructions; it is not a new-release announcement.

Lowrance says this rename is unnecessary for the named Simrad update route when the module is on 26.1 or earlier. Its notice does not establish a general rename rule for other displays or versions. Record the exact display and sonar module model and installed versions. Save a screenshot of the original version and a note of the official file name. If an update is not recognized, compare the actual setup with the notice before trying unrelated changes.
